This is the Podcast Canvas – a living document and project management system to help you produce an addictive, unique, and effective podcast.
You’ll notice we don’t get into the name, duration, frequency, or brand of the podcast until later on in the document. That’s because everything starts with the Listener persona.
Everything in Notion is made up of Pages and Blocks. This “Start here” section is a Page, and there are several blocks within it (like the one you’re reading now, and the “Todo” section below.)
If you hover over a block, you’ll see a little 6-dot menu to the left of it. You can click that box to expose a menu with options to manage the block. You can also click the 6-dot button and drag sections up and down the document.
Once you’ve read through this blue section, try clicking the 6-dot button to the left of the blue box, and click the “Delete” menu item. That will remove this section.
This document is quite detailed in its structure. If you accidentally drag something, delete something, or alter the structure in a way you don’t like, you can select Undo from the Edit menu.
Alternatively, find the button with the clock face at the top of your Notion window, which is labeled “View all updates”. Click that and you’ll see a list of edits. Click on an edit and you can hit the Restore button to go back to the last saved version.
The Canvas is broken down into a number of sections which you can navigate using the left-hand menu. Each section is left blank for you to fill in, and there are cut-out guides (like this one) to help you.
You’ll see a “Todos” section below. Once you’ve read this, follow the instruction in the Todo section.
Once you’ve completed a todo item, click the box to tick it off. You’ll see your progress reflected back in the homepage of your Canvas.
Have fun!
